We are Kaifeck

Kaifeck is a German modern metal band from Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm, founded in 2016. The band combines hard, contemporary riffs with atmospheric and symphonic elements, placing special emphasis on dense moods and conceptual depth.

Characteristic are the German-language lyrics, influenced by religious motifs, philosophical questions and classical literature, all working with a dark, metaphorical imagery.

Musically, Kaifeck is firmly rooted in modern metal - far from nu-metal clichés - with modern production and multi-layered arrangements.

After the debut album "Rebirth" (2021) and numerous live shows - including a second place finish at the SPH Music Masters - the band has further sharpened its own distinctive sound and positioned itself as an ambitious, independent force in modern metal.

"Zeit im Sterben" is Kaifeck's second full-length album and a dark modern metal concept album about the Hinterkaifeck murders of 1922. Rather than retelling the events, the band translates atmosphere, guilt and isolation into a melancholic, oppressive soundscape of heavy riffs, symphonic elements and modern production. Divided into four acts, the work uses metaphorical imagery, religious motifs and German-language lyrics. "Zeit im Sterben" is conceived as a cohesive album concept with a strong narrative and emotional focus.
